The once (not so) insightful team that brought you The OffsideTrap on Hullfire and Jam Radio.

Hullfire Radio's answer to Andy Gray and Richard Keys, looking at the more humorous and more absurd side of football. We have no flashy Jamie Redknapp or dynamic graphics - but a few football fans nostalgically harking back to football from the 1990's!!

Join us on our open top bus ride through the important, and the not so important, parts of the footballing world!!
We are currently not recording any shows, but stayed tuned in for blogs, reaction and all sorts of fun.

WHAT HAVE WE BEEN MISSING?

Since the last recording (well I say recording very well knowing that nothing was recorded for the last two weeks of this semester, something that will remain a chip on our shoulders throughout our long, successful careers in football journalism) a lot has happened in the footballing spectrum. Such as United starting to turn round a seemingly destined second placed season, a Wigan revival and the mounting possibility that Suarez will be banned for the rest of eternity.

The Premier League, one of the few leagues’ that doesn’t have an extended winter rest, has been in full flow over Christmas. Man City against Arsenal being my particular highlight. A fast and furious style football match, surprisingly drawing only one goal out of two very attack driven teams. An encouraging sign for Arsenal fans, especially as it was followed by a win at Villa Park, which although is closer to being a bouncy castle than a fortress, can still be a tough place to go. Despite Arsenals recent surge, the draw with Wolves shows that January could be an import chance for Wenger to strengthen his squad, or more importantly his strike force.

At the other side of the table Wigan have put on a little run of minor victories in the shape of draws against Chelsea and Liverpool. The team that I have claimed are the worst since the historically bad Derby may survive yet again in an almost sanity defying amount of hard work and luck. Wigan could well wade through the shit of Blackburn, Bolton and Wolves and somehow stay up, clinging to a Premier League position. Well only if they don’t have to play Manchester ‘5-0’ United every week.

This missing bad boy of the league has been found, but we won’t see him for the next nine weeks. Suarez has worn, been found guilty of being racist but is still a bit of a darling of our league. Cantona-esk maybe? But what really annoyed me were the T-Shirts. There is no reason for the club to back Suarez on a case that they haven’t fully heard what has gone on, or seen the evidence. If Suarez has been found to be a full hearted member of the KKK then the case is pretty much sealed.

Just to clear up I’m not saying that Suarez is a member of the KKK.

All these topics are being itched to be talked about by the OFFSIDE TRAP. We will have stories from our hometowns, including my painful viewing of Aston Villa and Stoke, well worth a listen. Anyway, hoping you had a good Christmas and are going to have a wonderful New Year.

Lots of love xx

An apology from us and JAM RADIO

We were let down fans.

The last show never recorded so we cannot release it as a podcast, we are all very sorry for this hiccup to your Friday schedule.

However we will be doing a show on Wednesday at 11.15, the last show before Christmas so make sure you tune in for some winter fun.

Until then enjoy the moment when the OFFSIDE TRAP got recognised in Asylum on Saturday, perhaps not Devine's expected reaction to claiming he was our biggest fan.

See you on Wednesday, make sure you listen in.

I LOVE FOOTBALLERS

Third episode and no one seems happy. Will's team are losing heavily, Alex feels very bitter about the ex-Villa Manager and it's finally dawning on Josh that he isn't funny. The show is either getting worse, or better, but definitely more laughs. Mistakes are on the down but Alex is still a bastard for a dramatic pause or two, or three, or every other word.

This ones for you Speedy.

The videos from around the world in three stories are below. Yes, Josh does spend his time looking things like this up...

Oh! And in case you missed it, have a look at this... Pretty sure the commentator is also reporting in Morse Code.

Enjoy the show and tune in next week.
